The vineyard’s limestone-rich clay soils and cooling eastern breezes give the wine a distinctive combination of power, structure, and freshness. The 2022 is deeply savory and mineral, with dark cherry, sage, rosemary, gravel, menthol, licorice, and earthy forest-floor character. Firm, finely grained tannins and vibrant acidity drive a long, persistent finish, with the concentration and “inner pressure” to develop beautifully in the cellar.
